Kung Po Chicken (non-spicy variation)


Ingredients:

400 grams of lean chicken breast meat (without skin)
50 grams of diced green capsicums
50 grams of diced red capsicums
50 grams of diced yellow capsicums
200 grams of uncooked cashew nuts

Seasoning:
2 teaspoons of spice powder
(a mixture of prickly ash, star aniseed, cinnamon, clove and fennel powder)
1 teaspoon of salt
A little pepper and sesame oil

Cooking Method:
1. Cut the chicken into cubes and season them with the spice powder, salt, pepper and sesame oil. Set aside for an hour.
2. Deep fry the cashew nuts. Set aside.
3. Stir-fry the chicken meat until it is half-cooked.
4. Add in the capsicums and cashew nuts and mix thoroughly.
5. Add in some oyster sauce for a more fragrant flavour. Serves 4 diners.

Cheesy Vege Pizza


Ingredients:

2 packs (about 230 grams) of refrigerated crescent rolls
2 packs (about 230 grams) of softened cream cheese
1 cup of mayonnaise
1 pack (about 30 grams) of dry ranch-style dressing mix
1 cup of chopped broccoli
1 cup of diced tomatoes
1 cup of sliced green capsicums
1 cup of sliced red capsicums
1 cup of shredded carrots
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Cooking Method:
1. Preheat oven to 190°C.
2. Roll out the crescent roll dough onto a 9x13 inch baking sheet, and pinch together the edges to form the pizza crust.
3. Bake the crust for 12 minutes in the preheated oven.
4. Once the crust is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for 15 minutes.
5. In a small mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise and ranch dressing. Mix well.
6. Spread the mixture over the cooled crust and remove it from the baking sheet.
7. Arrange broccoli, tomatoes, green capsicums, red capsicums, carrots and cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer.
8. Slice and serve.

Crunchy Burger


Ingredients:

1 burger bun
1 meat patty
1 tablespoon of diced white onions and green capsicums
2 slices of tomatoes
2 pieces of lettuce leaves
1 slice of cheese
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise sauce

Cooking Method:
1. Grill or fry the meat patty until it turns golden brown. Set aside.
2. Cut the burger bun into halves and toast them lightly.
3. Place a piece of cheese on the bottom half of the bun to allow the cheese to melt.
4. Place the meat patty over it.
5. Sprinkle with the white onions and green capsicums.
6. Lay the tomatoes and lettuce leaves on top of this spread.
7. Top off with the mayonnaise sauce.
8. Cover with the other half of the bun and serve.

Onion Omelette


Ingredients:

5 eggs
2 tablespoons of diced red onions
2 tablespoons of diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon of diced ham
A little salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Method:
1. Whip the eggs thoroughly with the salt and pepper.
2. Add in the red onions, tomatoes and diced ham and stir well.
3. Stir-fry this egg mixture on a flat saucepan, turning it over occasionally to ensure that that the frying is even.
4. When both sides turn golden brown, the omelette is ready. Serves 4 diners.
